Hanoi – the capital of Vietnam, witnessed the ups and downs of this country throughout history. Visiting Hanoi, you can observe the ancient architecture, and experience the calm and peaceful lifestyle, which is contrary to the pace of life in Saigon. There are many places to visit in Hanoi. You can wander from the narrow streets in Hanoi Old Quarter, to the famous One Pillar Pagoda, and visiting Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum nearby. Also, you can explore The Temple of Literature, which was built almost a thousand years ago as Vietnam’s first national university.

Sapa is a famous trekking base in the Northern Vietnam with beautiful terraced rice paddle fields of the Muong Hoa Valley. Sapa is also home to different ethnic groups, including the Hmong, Dao, Tay, Giay and Xa Pho. You can visit Fansipan Mountain, the highest mountain in Indochina and soak in the spectacular view at the top. Or simply take the cable car for a scenic ride.

Ha Long Bay is one of the most scenic regions in Vietnam and is a must do for anyone visiting the country.  The bay is filled with thousands of giant limestone cliffs which jut from the water and are covered with lush rain forests. Ha long Bay is best visited by a 1 or 2-night cruise.

Danang is not really one of the most well-known spots in Vietnam but it does have some lovely corners well worth a visit. Not only famous for My Khe beach, but Da Nang is also home of Marble Mountains, Ba Na Hills Park, and Son Tra Peninsula.  Now, Da Nang is famous by Golden Bridge that a lot of people don’t miss when visit Vietnam.

Hoi An is one of the nicest places to visit in Vietnam. Compared to other cities in Vietnam, this city is an incredibly pleasant place to explore, the many historical homes and museums in the quaint town center, it is possible to go to the nearby beaches, which are blessed with beautiful fine white sand and clear waters.

Ho Chi Minh City is one of the most visited destinations in Vietnam. Here, shiny new skyscrapers stand side by side with old colonial French architecture. There are several shops and restaurants open till late at night, or people having drinks and talking at 3 am on the street even though it’s a weekday. Saigon never sleeps. It is also a good base for travellers visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta.

Mekong Delta is definitely one of the major tourist attractions when visiting Southern Vietnam. It is a place of various exotic fruits, extraordinary flora and fauna and friendly locals. Visiting the bloating market in the early morning is one of the best things to do in Vietnam.
