THING TO DO IN HA GIANG

One of the most famous tourist destinations in Vietnam is the mountain town of Ha Giang. Far from Ha Noi around 300km, Ha Giang is the beautiful terraced rice fields that cling to the sides of the hills and nature landscape.
Dong Van Limestone Plateau: designated by UNESCO as one of 77 sites with the important geological and cultural heritage, creating the main majestic scenery with towering mountains & immense valleys in the region. Besides the geological value, Dong Van karst plateau also attracts tourists by the unique cultural and spiritual values associated with the ethnic Mong, Dao … living on the plateau.
Lung Cu flag tower: Lung Cu is so beautiful, has a total area of 3460 hectares with 9 villages. Traditional features in cultures of these ethnic groups are very diverse and interesting. Visitors are attracted by magnificent mountains hiding in the cloud as well as the Flag Tower on top of Dragon Mountain (Long Son), terraces of the local resident and Lo Lo Lake. Lung Cu is famous by many special foods and drink such as corn alcohol, honey alcohol and “Thang Co” (a kind of soup that is cooked with almost every part of an animal such as pork, beef, horse…).
It’s a very good option and travel tip to visit a small or large authentic ethnic market in Ha Giang province. The best days for visiting a large ethnic market are Saturday or Sunday. Some markets take place in the working days in the week
For the best moment of pink buckwheat flower, you should visit Ha Giang between the end of October & the beginning of November each year.
