ABOUT SAPA - VIETNAM

One of the most famous tourist destinations in Vietnam is the mountain town of Sapa, near the base of mount Fansipan, the highest mountain in Vietnam / South East Asia.
Sa Pa is famous with the rugged scenery and also its rich cultural diversity.
Many ethnic minorities live in and around Sapa. Town of Sapa is where ethnic minority people gather, trade or sell their farming products such as rice, corn, fruits, as well as handicrafts and souvenirs to tourists. There is one interesting fact about ethnic minority people in Sapa that besides their dialects, many of them, especially small children, can speak English pretty well with clear pronunciation.
The billboard in Sapa states proudly of its weather: "Four seasons in one day." Chilly winter in the early morning, spring time after sunrise, summer in afternoon and cold winter at night.
Sapa is a charming mountain town, surrounded by picturesque mountains and rice terraces. Great views of the area can be had (weather permitting) from the nearby hills. One of these has been built up into a tourist attraction (Ham Rong) with various gardens (orchid, European), ethnic minority dance performance areas, viewpoints, and restaurants. It's a short walk south from the central square and then up some stairs.
Cat Cat Village: The ethnic Cat Cat is a few kilometers' walk from Sapa. Tourist walk down the road out of Sapa, It provides a good chance to observe Vietnamese farming and farm animals, and there are excellent views.
From Ha Noi, the customer can take overnight train to Lao Cai train station, the gateway to Sapa. Vietnam Railways provides cars for different classes: hard seat, soft seat, hard sleeper and soft sleeper.
From Lao Cai train station to Sapa is another hour bus ride, which gives your eyes a massage with the endless blue sky and colorful terraced paddy field.
If you want to enjoy the Vietnamese countryside along the road and it is by far the quickest and easiest way to travel between Hanoi and Sapa by express bus.
Sapa is definitely a place to remember.
