03 DAYS IN HOI AN - WHAT DO YOU DO
Hoi An is a city on Vietnam’s central coast known for its well-preserved Ancient Town, cut through with canals.
There is no airport or railway station in this ancient city, so it is not easily accessible to both local and international tourists. By train, you can book your tickets to Da Nang train station from major Vietnamese cities. From Da Nang, travelers can take a car or taxi to Hoi An around 45 minutes.
On your first day, you can walking around the ancient town to visit best destination in Hoi An likes Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien and the Old House of Tan Ky, one of Hoi An’s cultural heritage.
Hoi An, a city so full of color, culture and life and is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Vietnam or even the world for that matter. In the evening, you enjoy night time with beautifully colored lanterns lighting up the sidewalks and night markets.
The food in Hoi An is famous also such as banh bao vac (white rose dumplings) and com ga (chicken rice). Special food is “Cao lau” made with rice flour noodles topped with cha siu pork, fresh greens, herbs, rice crackers, and fried pork rinds, “Cao lau” is the quintessential Hoi An dish. When you’re in Hoi An, you absolutely need to have this dish because authentic traditional “Cao lau” can’t be made anywhere else.
The next day, we visit My Son Holly land tour a half day. My Son was once an impressive place, a holy valley of impressive Hindu temples and burial grounds of the royalty of the Champa people.
In the afternoon, one of the most interesting is Cooking Class, you will learn organic home cooking using vegetables and ingredients from Hoi An farmers market and the vegetable village.
The last day, not far from Hoi An is the lovely Cua Dai Beach, with pristine, white sands and moderate, gentle waves, Cua Dai Beach is better for moonlit strolls and floating around in the water.
Hoi An is one of the best places in Vietnam to experience the country’s rich history. There are plenty more trips to consider!
Consider a trip out to Cham Islands to go snorkeling, diving, visit a pagoda and the local fishing villages.
Visit the Thanh Ha Pottery Village just 3km west of the town. Watch how these women work whilst making plates, bowls, ornaments and the infamous clay whistles. You can also have a turn at the equipment.
